Claire's Birthday - 4!

Cute Claire turned four this year. She opted for brownies in lieu of cake and we had a little get-together with her cousin Spencer and her neighbor and friend, Lakey.

Lakey brought her a little Squinkies present:

Grandma B gave her a "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" wall decoration and CD - she and Claire used to listen to that song a lot when Grandma B was living with us.

I wish I had more photos but they were on my phone, which froze up soon after Claire's birthday and I lost them. :( So we will substitute with awesome pictures of Claire over the last year:

Happy 4th Birthday Claire!

I’m glad to you know you, Claire Bear. Here’s what you’ve been up to:

You’re into imaginative play – you like to play with Polly Pockets or stuffed animals. Often they have flying powers and need to go save someone.

You LOVE coloring and are good at staying in the lines. Since you still have two years before kindergarten, you are going to be a master colorer.

You paint your own nails. I often find you in the bathroom having just painted your nails, and you don’t do a terrible job and are pretty clean about it.

You like to take baths with Jozie or Haven, especially in my bathtub. It has jets, so with a little soap it creates a seriously huge foamy layer of bubbles!

You like to play with Jozie or Haven, depending on the day. There’s some rivalry between the two of them so they try to recruit you to their “teams.” Jozie’s team is the Pig Pals, and Haven’s is the Girls team.

You like to play with Fuzz. Sometimes he gets in his crazy mood and likes to play rough. You lay on the floor and you guys wrestle. He playfully bites your feet and you act like you don’t like it, but you don’t get up so I think you must?

You like to eat popsicles at night (plan treat – for finishing your nightly list of things to do), spaghetti with parmesan flakes, Rice Krispies, chocolate caterpillars (Nutella on a banana – your babysitter Helen makes these), little oranges (Mandarin), hamburger and tomato soup.

At church you usually hang out near the piano bench with me during Primary sharing time. Then you go to class and eat cookies. We’re still in the Spanish ward.

I sure love you, Claire. - Mommy
