February

Some rather exciting stuff happened in February!

Elder Holland came to visit us in our little meeting house. He was there to officially dedicate Macau for the preaching of the gospel. We all got to shake his hand, as well as meet his wife, Patricia, and other general church leaders (the Presiding Bishop and his wife, the Asia Area Authority, etc.).

No photos allowed :(

Another exciting event of February? A fire six floors above us. We were just finishing breakfast when we heard and felt an explosion and then heard a window break. We shuffled everyone out of the house to discover flames coming from a window on the top floor. Chad and another neighbor (our friend Alecia's dad) ran upstairs to help while others called 999 and waited. No one was hurt. Apparently a water heater exploded, though everyone's still wondering exactly how that and the fire occurred. No concrete answers so far.

There was water everywhere, mixed with soot, though it's hard to tell in these pictures.

More February excitement included Jozie losing her other front tooth, thanks to the help of this very burrito:

And here are pics of more fun times outside. It's been great to get sunny breaks throughout the winter:

I think we need another look at Haven's stellar outfit:

This is at a grass slide on grande Taipa hill (Jozie and Claire are going down backwards):

And Claire and I have been temporarily having pre-nursery class at the park across the street from the church. She's at that impossible church age, and nursery in the park is fantastic!

A teeny turtle we found:

I've decided that my phone camera is in such bad shape I need to get a new one (well and the phone glass is cracked on both sides). So, hopefully future pictures will look better.
