I caught some gorgeous sunrises. Here's one:
Jozie came home one day saying her class was looking for a class pet, so Chad helped her bring some possibilities. This toad stayed in a cage in their classroom for a week until her teacher sent it back home to us because it wasn't eating.
She also brought this jellyfish:
We thought we'd document Durian fruit at the grocery store (how it looks outside and inside). It is the weirdest stuff, but people here are used to it and really like it. To me, it tastes like a mix of onions and old socks. It has a really strong smell that isn't super bad, just strong and different.
We enjoyed General Conference and did some crafts while watching:
Chad and I went on some great dates, like running in the hills and checking out the Jazz festival at the Venetian.
We had some great, spicy burritos:
Chad bundled up all the bikes so we could get up to a trail and bike ride. It was great!
I got a shot of these cute friends at school:
Claire and her babysitting buddy played at the "Sand Park" near our house:
Haven drew some pictures (the initials above each head represent who the person is. D = Daddy, M = Mommy, J = Jozie, H = Haven):

And this is just a cute pic of Jozie and me after school:
We went to the Lusofonia festival (Portuguese festival) and I had some bolo de mandioca (cake made out of yucca flour - it's super good) and some limonada (homemade lime juice). Yum!
The girls all got candy bracelets after school one day:
We got to go to a random Chinese restaurant with our LDS friends in Macau:
And this wasn't on our menu but was on a friend's somewhere else in Macau:
I saw an early morning fishing boat out in the water:
Luckily, the orange juice we drank one day had no addictives:
We played at the Sand Park some more. Claire found this broom and wanted to sweep - this is a typical outdoor broom.
We stayed after church for a bit to attend a monthly birthday party. Our church meetings end at 8pm so we don't usually stay long. They always serve lots of Filipino food.
Jozie and Haven have been in ballet for a while. Don't they look pretty?
This is an example of a typical remodel in Macau (either commercial or residential - this one's commercial). They generally rip EVERYTHING out - ceiling, floor tiles (and large parts of the floor cement), walls, everything. It's all made out of concrete or tile so removing it is very loud and takes a long time.
Well that's it for October! It was a lovely month, when the temperature is just perfect and we try to be outside as much as possible!
You have given your children a wide world of experiences - and done an excellent job of it.
