On Haven's birthday we had crepes for breakfast and later loved eating cupcakes in our "new" backyard!
What a pretty picture:
Look at all the moving boxes in the background - probably 1/20th of the total.
I love sister presents!
Grandma B gives great "singing" cards.
Birthday letter for Haven:
Happy
happy birthday Haven! Now you are 6!
You
sure are a pretty girl with your delicate face, long dark blond hair streaked
with light, and soft freckles. Your smile lights everything up. And you’re a
bit of a tease! But always for good of course! J
Let’s
see, you are now back in Utah, where you haven’t lived since you were 3. You
seem to have adjusted just fine but you likely don’t remember much about being
here before. You say our current house is like a castle, you love riding your
scooter down the street, and you think roasting marshmallows is the best thing
ever invented.
You’re
back in school, in U.S. Kindergarten based on your birthdate. You feel super
comfortable there because it’s only half day, and you used to go all day!
You’re learning quickly of course. You have lots of school and neighborhood
friends: Jenna Teran, Rylan Fackrell, Anna Roberson, Lily, and Natalie. You go
to school in the morning and then play with a Spanish speaking home babysitter
or go to Spanish preschool with Claire. It’s working nicely. You’re not so into
Spanish but you do understand it pretty well.
Things
you like to do? Scooter, play house, play doggie, play anything. Listen to
stories, watch YouTube (especially Seven Super Girls).
To
eat? Ramen, Mac and Cheese, spaghetti (even just plain with ketchup on top
thanks to our friend Signe teaching us about that), scrumptious things like
marshmallows or popcorn, NOT anything with potatoes or carrots.
By
the way we just got a dog last week. You call him Fuzzy (he’s a very fluffy
Shih Tzu). You’re still convinced he’s going to eat you, though I’ve seen you
sneak on over and pet him too. J What you’d really like is a bird or hamster or parrot. You
miss our cute Sophia, the hamster we had to leave in Macau.
Oh,
and for your birthday this year you and I and Grandma Dalley went to a bounce
house and climbed and jumped and slid down slides. It was great fun!
Sure
love you my Haven.
Love,
Mommy
