Butterfly and Ladybug enjoyed looking at the Halloween decorations in great detail and Haven learned how to rather precisely say "trick or treat."
As a follow-up, I'll report that the Switch Witch did come to our house that night. Jozie and Haven picked some candy to keep and the rest was left for the Switch Witch to use for her candy castle (which so far has been diverted towards Jessica's working treats but really ought to be thrown out...). That night, the Switch Witch left Jozie a princess bike horn and left Haven a Land Before Time DVD. Both were excited about their presents. I think that they're both in the age where they would've forgotten all about their candy anyway - they've only asked once for any candy they had saved anyway. But, we'll probably continue this next year as well. It seemed to me to be a nice entrance into the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. They each got a little gift and now we're into thankful and holiday season - it was a nice segway.
