Grandpa B

Chad's stepdad, Mike Borgstrom, has been "Grandpa B" for Jozie and Haven all their lives. He's had some pretty bad heart problems for the last while and went through some surgeries to try to improve things. He had a surgery a couple weeks ago and unfortunately it didn't work well for him. He stayed in the hospital for about a week. A couple days after he got released, he suddenly passed away. We weren't expecting that and it still hasn't fully settled that he's gone. He was an easygoing person to talk to and I'm glad to have known him, and will miss him. Chad and I are sad that our girls aren't going to know much of having grandpas around. Chad's dad is the only one left and he lives in Oregon and we don't see him much. Sad!

Here is a link to a video with photos from his life. He served in Vietnam and then served a mission in France. He and Chad's mom married when Chad was about 12 and they lived in Texas and Florida, then moved out here a few years ago.
