Mid-Autumn Festival

In September we got to enjoy our second mid-autumn festival in Macau. This is one of the most important Chinese holidays. It always falls on a full moon. People eat mooncakes (acquired taste), have dinner with their families, and go out at night with lanterns.

The Friday before the holiday there was a mid-autumn festival party at TIS. The school put up lots of lanterns made by the kids:

We got to play games and have fun on the playground at night:

Throwing dirty sponges at the teachers - yuck!

An the actual night of the festival we went down to our nearby park and the beach. It was a beautiful night!
