Our sweetiepie Claire Bear turned 3 in mid-October. She wanted to celebrate in a bounce house, so off we went. We climbed ladders, bounced down slides, and ate big pretzels. Jozie and Haven gave her presents. We celebrated our Claire.

Happy
birthday Claire!
You
just turned 3 and are as cute and sweet as ever! You’re back in Utah and
Grandma B has been living with us for the last few months. The two of you are
very good friends. You especially like putting together her letter puzzle with
her and shopping with her. We also just got a family pet – a Shih Tzu named Fuzz who’s
black and white and (wouldn’t you know it) very fuzzy. You like rubbing his
fur, leading him around on a leash, and teaching him not to bite.
What
else is 3-year-old Claire up to? You’re mostly potty trained, you have a super
cute baby who wears a diaper, and you like to wear sparkly shoes. You also like
chasing and being chased by Daddy. You like to watch two certain kinds of shows
on youtube: baby cooking shows and baby bed shows, in which someone shows of
toys related to cooking and cribs. Interesting.
Somewhere
along the line you learned the importance of saying please and thank you and
you use them lavishly. It’s very cute and gets you more of what you want. You
also are very helpful when it’s time to clean up or when I need any little
errands done.
You
have a pretty My Little Pony bike and like riding it. You also like riding in
your red car and on a small stand up scooter. We have a small outdoor play
kitchen that you love as well. You like being read to and will memorize key
phrases.
You
love eating spaghetti, drinking Yakult (we picked that up in Macau), and things
like melon and crackers. You also like celery with peanut butter and raisins (I
taught you that one).
Two
afternoons a week you go to Spanish preschool with Haven (who’s in morning
kindergarten). You also have a couple of Spanish-speaking babysitters who come
here to play. We’re attending the Spanish ward and they just moved you from
nursery into Sunbeams.
You
are a thoughtful, smart, energetic, creative and wonderful person and we’re
happy to be in your family.
Love
you,
Mommy
