Capitol Reef

We spent the weekend in and near Capitol Reef with our friends, Bekah and Nate. It was tons of fun to hike around and play in the dirt. Nate's family has a ranch out there. Here's a picture of the view from their cabin:

It's so peaceful to just sit on the front porch and watch cows eat grass!

Chad and I slept outside under the stars (on a real mattress) with Jozie in a tent next to us. It's really nice to lay down and look at the stars every once in a while. It's too bad that even though they're above us every night, we so rarely take the time to look at them and think.

We took a hike at the Grand Wash in Capitol Reef. Jozie didn't like it too much though. We wanted her to be carried on Chad's back and she wanted to be walking! (She still likes someone to hold her hand while she walks.)

  2. That looks like home.

So I have an idea about the back pack. It seems to work sometimes to give the baby in the back pack a stick you find. She'll throw it and so you pick it up and hand it back. You play this game the whole hike and it will get really tiresum but it keeps the baby in. Then the next hike is better. Oh and who ever has the baby on the back will have to be ok with getting hit in the head. But it seems to work.

  3. What happens when the baby hits you in the head with the stick?
